Children in grades 3,4,5^th work with the Phoenix Office of Arts & Culture Artspace teaching artists on Taiko drumming and Japaneese dance.

Balsz School Program

Phoenix Office of Arts & Culture,  ArtSpace teaching artists, Esther Vandecar director of Fushicho Daiko and  Michèle Ceballos Michot, director of Opendance, are collaborating on Judy Butzine’s , Envisioning Peace: Tolerance project with 3rd 4th and 5th grade students from Balsz Elementary school. Balsz is in the Creighton school district at 42nd St just south of McDowell in Phoenix,AZ. Dulce Juarez,assistant teacher from Opendance is helping as well, the children love her. They are learning Taiko drumming and Japaneese dance.
